    What is Passover?

For those who don't know, Passover is a Jewish holiday celebrated in either March or April, depending on the lunar cycle. It is typically around Easter for those who celebrate Easter.

Passover celebrates the Bible story of when the Israelites escaped slavery in ancient Egypt. On the first night a special meal, Passover seder, is held with family. Symbolic foods are served at this traditional Passover meal.

During Passover, leavened bread and other foods made with grain are forbidden. Foods like sweet potatoes and other potatoes are fine to eat during Passover meals.

Here are some favorite Passover recipes that are perfect for side dishes and appetizers that will take your family's holiday the extra mile.
