I love celebrating all of the holidays because they are a great way to spend time with family and there are so many holiday recipes to try. Food really brings in the holiday spirit in my opinion.

Ever since I was a kid, my mom and I would make treats during any and all holidays. Any excuse we had to bake, we would. Baking is such a great way to spend time with family, plus who doesn't want yummy treats or breakfast like our Hawaiian Roll French Toast.

Holiday treats are most often talked about around Christmas time, but what about Easter? I think a delicious Easter dessert is a great addition to your Easter Sunday meal and the Easter holiday season.

There are so many traditional Mexican dessert recipes that are fantastic for Easter. Treats like tres leches cakes and churros are some examples of what you could find Mexican bakeries that would be great for Easter.

Another popular treat is a traditional Mexican bread pudding (or capirotada dish). It's made with layers of bread, sweet bananas, and other fruits, nuts, and cheeses.

But why go to a bakery when you can make it at home? There are tons of Mexican dishes you should definitely try this Easter. Some of the recipes below have fresh fruits, creamy cheesecake filling, and cinnamon sticks.

Why You Should Make These Recipes

    • You'll try an authentic Mexican dessert you may not have tried before
    • Some ingredients are found at Latin grocery stores, so you'll get to go for the first time if you haven't been before
    • New recipes mix up the desserts you usually make
    • You may find your new favorite dessert
