Well, I think it’s safe to say that I’ve done plenty of gushing. Let’s talk about my favorite Valentine's Day books!
1. L is for Love
This little beauty filled with colorful illustrations, walks the little ones through the alphabet. Each page is a new letter introducing even the youngest reader to words and phrases about love and friendship.
2. Love Is
This gorgeous picture book tells the story of a young girl and a little duck who wanders far from its pond. These two characters learn to care for each other. They learn that love is about letting go as much as holding on. This is a sweet book with a profound message and beautiful illustrations that I can't get enough of.
3. In My Heart: A Book of Feelings
This adorable book gets into a lot of big feelings that kids (and adults) experience. Our hearts can hold so much! The best part is that it teaches kids to embrace all feelings, even the uncomfortable ones. I can't stop talking about what a great book this is.
4. My Fuzzy Valentine (Sesame Street)
I love a tactile board book like this one for the young ones who can’t even speak yet, let alone read the words. They love to get involved in books! Follow Elmo in this story as he finds out who sent him a fuzzy Valentine. He’ll visit all your favorite characters on Sesame Street.
5. Llama Llama I Love You
All these Llama Llama books are so cute with their rhymes and illustrations. In this one little llama makes heart-shaped Valentines and delivers them to all his friends and family with lots of hugs.
