- 1 bag Semi-sweet mini chips
- 1 tsp Coconut oil other oils work
- 6 ounces tortilla chips 1 bag
- 2 cups diced strawberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- avocado oil spray
Put the coconut oil and all but 1/4 cup chocolate chips in a microwave save bowl or large measuring cup.
Heat in the microwave 1 minute then stir until smooth, if needed, microwave another 30 seconds to make sure it's completely melted
For the nachos, lay out the chips on a cookie sheet or the platter you will be serving them on
Spray chips lightly with the avocado oil spray
Meanwhile, combine sugar and cinnamon in a little bowl
Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mix evenly over the chips
Drizzle chocolate over the cinnamon sugar chips
Top with strawberries and sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup mini chips
Make ahead and storage instructions
You can prepare the cinnamon sugar mixture in advance but I would not recommend making the nachos in advance or storing them for an extended period of time. They taste best fresh as the chips will become soggy.
Recipe variations
- Different fruit - Feel free to use any type of fresh fruit for this nacho recipe. Banana slices, fresh blueberries, diced apples, raspberries, etc. will all work.
- Decadent drizzle - If you're not a fan of chocolate syrup or want some extra sweetness, feel free to drizzle with caramel sauce and/or white chocolate sauce.
- Sunday nachos - Add scoops of ice cream on top of your nachos for a creamy element.
- Get nutty - Add chopped peanuts, pecans, walnuts, pistachios, or even coconut flakes for an added crunch.
- Other chocolate chips: You can use white chocolate chips or even peanut butter chips if you want to switch things up.
