Ingredients

  • 1 12 pack Kings Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • dash allspice
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup white sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees f
  • Pull apart each roll and poke 10 holes in the bottom of each roll

  • Place on a baking sheet and toast for 15 minutes
  • Meanwhile, whisk the eggs then mix in heavy cream and vanilla extract.

  • Heat up a frying pan to medium heat with 1 tablespoon of butter
  • Place rolls in the cream mixture and let soak for 30 seconds.
  • Fry rolls for 2 minutes, then flip and fry for another 1-2 minutes.

  • Once cooked, immediately coat in cinnamon sugar mixture.

  • Repeat process, adding more butter to the pan as needed.
  • Serve with warm maple syrup.

Notes

Storage

Storing - After the french toast has cooled to room temp, store in an air-tight container the in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stovetop, microwave, or air fryer for a crispier texture. 
Freezing - After cooling, place french toast into individual pieces or the entire batch into ziplock bags or a freezer safe container. Reheat the frozen slices in the toaster or oven.
