Ingredients

  • 1 8-inch round BAKED and cooled cake in your favorite flavor
  • 1/4 cup prepared frosting
  • 16 ounces almond bark/candy coating
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles

Instructions

  • Crumble your prepared cake mix in a large bowl.
  • Thoroughly mix it with the frosting until a smooth texture is reached and everything is incorporated.
  • Using a mini cookie scoop, make cake balls by scooping out some cake pop mixture and rolling between your clean or gloved hands to make evenly round balls.
  • Melt the almond bark/candy coating in a bowl and dip a sucker stick into it, then add it to the cake pop until halfway inserted and place on a baking sheet with the stick side up (repeat until all cake pops have a sucker stick in them).
  • One at a time, swirl a cake pop in the remaining melted almond bark to coat it and top with patriotic sprinkles while still warm.
  • Allow to cool, then enjoy!

If you happen to have leftover cake balls, they will last in the fridge for up to 5 days. Make sure to store in an airtight container.

Can I freeze these cake balls?
