- 16 ounce chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 2-3 Tablespoons red food dye
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
Cream Cheese Frosting
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 and cream the butter and cream cheese together
- Add the egg and mix well
- Slowly add the cake mix, food dye and cocoa powder and mix until well combined
- Scoop by medium-large ice cream scoops (4 T) onto a greased, or a silicone mat lined baking sheet
- Flatten each cookie with the bottom of a cup and bake 12-15 minutes
- Cool then frost cookies with cream cheese frosting and top with sprinkles if desired
